He isn’t fond of his full name and so his mate is the only one who can get away with using it. AGE AND DOB: 111; April 1st 1908. SPECIES: Therianthrope; Wolf. CAREER: Keeping Cassandra happy. CURRENT RESIDENCE: The Factory. MARTIAL STATUS: Mated; Cassandra Ashworth. SEXUALITY: Heterosexual. ETHER: Yes; he is the sound of laughter that sounds mocking to those who don’t know him, playful and mischievous, apparently light and amusing. He is the feel of shaded groves and stolen moments, capable of souring in an instant. He uses it constantly to keep in touch with Cassy, even with the ability to talk to her or use their mate bond. supernatural [top.] ABILITIES THE WOLF: Like every werewolf, Reg can physically transformer into a wolf at will. In this form he is a reddish Maned Wolf, looking more like an oversized red fox than anything else. His hair is near black around his paws, making it appear as though he is wearing dark socks, with white around his ears and tail. He stands at 3.2 feet tall on four legs. Build for speed and agility with his almost oversized long legs, he can outrun almost anything in his wolf form and if cornered he has the usual deadly fangs and claws with which to protect himself. Thanks to the frequent use of this skill, he longer ages physically and instead looks the same age as when he was first turned. [x] SKILLS: He can drive a number of different vehicles from cars to motorcycles, including his favourite, an old style Harley which he also owns. Reg is something of an armature cook, able to get by without burning things down and making passable meals. When he puts his mind to things, he can be very inventive with a quick, agile mind, capable of coming up with all sorts of plans and designs. Most of this energy goes into coming up with new ways to show Cassandra how much he cares but given the right incentive he could design almost anything. Thanks to his human years, Reg is skilled at a number of random things without being terribly good at them, such as carpentry, weaving, baking, farming and the like. LIMITATIONS: Without a doubt Cassandra is a huge weakness to him. He looses all self control and ability to see beyond her when she is in danger and he would sacrifice himself for her in a heartbeat. Reg would also have no problem with betraying anyone and everyone if it meant keeping her safe. His phobia of birds is another limitation, the male simply incapable of being near one. He can’t move towards a bird and the mere sight of one is enough to send his heart racing; if it actually flew towards him he would likely panic and run. He’s not much of a fighter and his selfish, lazy attitude has gotten him into trouble on more than one occasion, as has his tendency to say what’s on his mind, forging tact. WEAPONRY TRAINING: Limited, Reg knows enough to hold his own in a fight, favouring hand to hand combat over any other although he’s also skilled with a blade or staff. He isn’t much of a fighter at heart, generally stirred only to violence when his own life or that of his mate is threatened. GROUP: The Raidan Pack. POSITION: Member. RIVALRIES: The Watch; The Renner Pack. appearance [top.] He stands at the unremarkable height of 5’10”, weighing a comfortable 162lbs. Lean, boarding on skinny; he doesn’t at first glance appear to have much muscle to him but is nevertheless more than capable of holding his own when he needs to. Reginald’s wardrobe and choice of clothing is very distinctive, very much his own style. Typically seen in fingerless gloves and arm warmers, mismatched and clashing colours, he seems to take an almost perverse delight in wearing the most ugly and contrasting outfits as he can possibly get away with. Waistcoats, scarves, cravats and multiple shirts worn at the same time can frequently be seen on Reg, with scruffy knitted sweaters or battered jackets making up the top half in colder weather. One thing he won’t wear is jeans. He is rarely seen without a hat, either a brown-grey trilby hat, pushed down comfortably around his head, or a brown one that resembles a top hat more than anything else. On his feet he typically has a light brown pair of lace up boots, sturdy enough to stand up to almost anything he can thrown at them, with the laces always fraying at the edges, close to falling completely apart. Sometimes he carries around a brown satchel with him, the bag having a wide strap that is worn over his shoulder. Deceptively warm, chocolate brown eyes match nicely with his dark hair, the brown almost black in certain lights. Over the years he has grown it out, his fringe as long as the rest of his hair, the locks reaching a little way above his check. It normally falls straight down, with a very slight flicking outwards at the end, although he can make it appear wilder when the mood takes him; finally he normally sports faint stubble, about a day’s worth. DISTINGUISHING MARKS: Reg has a number of scars over his body from his life after becoming a wolf, most noticeably the ones left by his sire; Anne. The pale thin scar on his right inner thigh is his turning scar, the first one she placed on his body but not the last, the male having a number of almost delicate marks over his body from her ‘touch’. personality [top.] Despite his age and the fact he has lived longer than most humans, Reginald has never grown up and has never wanted to. He is very childish, Reg making no secret of the fact. Life is meant to be enjoyed, to be grabbed with both hands and he doesn’t appreciate people telling him what to do or how to do it; more than that, Reg absolutely despises being told ‘no’. It can send him into a childish rant when being told no or denied something he wants – albeit it one that can prove deadly to those on the receiving end of that temper tantrum. Very irresponsible, he sees nothing wrong in stealing and just taking what he wants on a whim, or leaving a trail of mess behind him so long as he and his mate are happy at the end of the day, considering that whatever he has done is right and justified because he did it for Cassandra. Lazy and selfish, Reg will only act if he thinks it will somehow benefit himself or his mate. He isn’t a believer in violence unless there is not other choice, often preferring to be laid back and letting others take change. There isn’t really the desire to dominate others as so often appears in werewolves, Reg comfortable in his position within the pack and having no wish to take on any responsibility at all and he sometimes obviously resents having to follow orders. He can also be rather impulsive at times, acting without fully thinking them through if he believes they will ease his life. More than once, Reg has made mistakes, acted with his heart instead of his head and had to deal with the consequences as a result. Cassandra is the most important person in his life, and as far as he is concerned, the most important person in the world. He is deeply possessive and loyal to his mate, doing anything she wanted without question. Reg alternatives between being amused and being upset at her teasing behaviour towards other males, he allows her to flirt with them to a degree but the moment they flirt back and actually touch her, he looses control and cannot stop himself from reminding everyone that Cassandra is his. Occasionally, her behaviour sends him into a depression, although a mere smile from her is enough to then lift the mood, knowing that no matter how she acts around others, he is the only one who matters to her. He would burn the whole world without a moment of hesitation, would go to any lengths and commit any amount of atrocities, if it meant keeping her safe and would sacrifice anyone else, even himself if that was what it took. In the end, it doesn’t matter to him how fond he might grow of a friend or another pack member, it would count for nothing against his mate’s life. history [top.] FAMILY FATHER: Private Reginald Ashworth II. [Deceased] MOTHER: Beatrice Ashworth née Greaves. [Deceased] SIBLING(S): Two stillborn siblings. • Reginald Ashworth the third was born in 1908, the only surviving child of Reginald the second and Beatrice. • He had two other siblings, both stillborn and not even given names before being buried quietly. • Reg was a sickly child, with both parents concerned that he would go the way of his siblings. • Somehow he managed to survive the perils of childhood. • Reginald Senior was a career solider, a military man through and through. The army was everything, far more important to him than his wife or his son. • When World War One broke out in 1914, Reg was only six, his father was already on missions with his regiment. • The Great War changed Reginald Senior in more than one way. He became harder, colder, more distance and damaged by the horrors he had seen. He also was physically damaged after two years, loosing everything below his left elbow due to gangrene after a particularly bad battle. • Sent home, unable to do the one thing that he was truly good at and with little prospect of getting a decent job with only one fully functioning arm, it didn’t take long for Reginald Sr. to fall into a depression. • He told it out on both his wife and his son, the child taking the blunt of his anger. • The younger Reginald was a complete contrast to his father, less interested in military might and fighting. Even at that young age, he was a dreamer, always looking for an easer way through life, preferring to be called Reg to separate him from his father. • The smallest thing was enough to set off his father; from crying if he fell and something hurt, to not being fast enough in fetching something he was told to get, the punishment was always harsh. • Worst of all punishments however, was the pigeon shed. • Started before the War and lovingly kept running by Beatrice in anticipation of her husband’s return, it housed nearly twenty of the cooing birds. Reg hated it. The noise and the smell of the birds make him feel sick and the way in which they would suddenly take off and appear to fly right at him scared the young boy. • That fear only infuriated his father more, the man taking to cruelly restrain his son in the pigeon shed and leave him there in the dark for hours at a time. It was worse than any physical beating he could inflict on Reg, leaving him forever scarred with a phobia of birds. • It wasn’t particularly uncommon or remarkable for a father to beat his son and although the intensity was perhaps stronger than most, Reg learnt that it was ‘normal’ and he needed to accept it. • As the years passed, Reg came to accept that this was how life worked and he stopped even thinking about trying to fight back when his father came at him. • It didn’t stop Reg rebelling in other, more subtle ways. He had no desire to join the army, to make a trade or do anything aside from laze around the town. The family weren’t rich and to make ends meet he took on a number of odd jobs, invariably getting fired from them fairly quickly for day dreaming, turning up late or not at all. • He also got a reputation as something of a ladies man. Reg was a romantic at heart, seeking some outlet for the love that had been denied him from his parents.
